Born April 15, 1924 in Seattle; died December 8, 2012 in Shoreline. Survived by Rosemary, his loving wife of 66 years; his children, James (Susan), Neal (Joanie), Helen Mitchell, and Tony (Vivian); 9 grandchildren, David, Theresa, Ryan, Jeffrey, Jaime, Jonathan, Jennifer, Christina, and Katelyn; 3 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Sylvia and Olivia; his brother, Jack; “twin” sister, Bess Lawrence; and his beloved dog, Bessie.
Philip served in the U. S. Army during WWII and retired from Boeing after 32 years. He was a resident of Whidbey Island, and a long-time member of St. Hubert Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus. Philip, known as “Papa” to his children and grandkids, was a devoted husband and family man who was loved by all who knew him. Remembrances may be made to Salvation Army at donate.salvationarmy.org
